You can say that standard IG are the standard NCR army, Storm-troopers are the Rangers, and Space Marines act more like the Legion thanks to Power Armor on both sides. It's like the IG in the sense that both exist as well. The NCR has been known to use sweeping numbers before against enemies that they can't defeat through training and equipment (like, the Brotherhood). You might be thinking of the Rangers, the elite strike force of the NCR. In a way. It's like how SM and IG interact in combat. Where the True Elite come from the NCR Rangers, which is mostly itself a strike force oriented group with major tacticians in it.

NCR itself, which generally has a mix between mostly standard infantry, with elite well trained infantry (The well known Steel Legion that uses Power Armor is here). Most of the NCR troops can be based between two major groups. Because well trained didn't match that, it was sending troops into a meatgrinder till they wore down the Brotherhood of Steel. I'm not saying the comparison is incorrect, necessarily, but just that the "numbers" point isn't that solid.Īctually, NCR uses sweeping numbers as well, read into the stories on how they beat the brotherhood. The IG uses sweeping numbers, whereas the SM uses well trained strike forces

What do you mean? The NCR actually has a pretty large army relative to most other factions in the wasteland, with the exception of the Legion.īut the point is that the Legion uses sweeping numbers, whereas the NCR uses well trained strike forces. The NCR has ridiculously low numbers, and the Imperial guard has looks of all kinds. Any Fallout and 40k fans notice this before me and more interestingly have any of you seen conversion for this?

They have a similar fighting style as both use large numbers and both armies are best at ranged fire fights, hell they even looks similar.
